Experience

5 years ago I started to give English lessons. At first it was like a hobby but soon I understood that my current office job did not give me such satisfaction. I decided that it was time to change working sphere. At that time (2008-2011) I was working as a personal assistant to CEO in a big international company. I did not have time to do what was really interesting for me. In 2011 I started working as a freelance journalist, English tutor having enough time to work, travel, perform creative projects. Due to 3 different university degrees I have knowledge and experience in different fields which is really helpful in my tutoring work now. Also I completed NLP course (neurolinguistic programming). Sometimes I use some techniques at my lessons. After moving to Istanbul (in December 2014) I have been working in several linguistic centres. My main responsibilities were: •development of educational programs (individually - according to the students’ level); •TEFL: private and group lessons; •special speaking courses for advanced learners and children. Now I am working as a private tutor-trainer, translator, copyrighter. I give lessons to students of different levels (from beginners to advanced who are usually interested in speaking practice or business course to prepare for negotiations or a business trip). My idea about teaching is not just to give knowledge but to support and inspire my students to feel confident and to use their knowledge in daily life.

Hobbies

I like travelling. I prefer to spend time exploring new places. I like to meet new people, taste new food, discover new cultures. Also among my hobbies are handy craft, dancing (especially Latin), yoga. I like movies, theatres, reading. I do love languages (now trying to improve my Turkish) and writing, being a journalist I always feel like expressing my thoughts in black and white.
