Education

I have two Bachelor degrees, one in Anthropology and the other in Geography. I also have my E.S.L., part one from Brock University, St. Catharine's, Ontario, Canada. I obtained this designation in 1994. Lastly, I have a TESL Ontario certificate which I obtained several years ago.

Experience

I am an English as a Second Language (E.S.L) teacher who currently teaches for a school board in Toronto on a substitute teaching basis. I have been teaching E.S.L. for twenty three years. I teach because I like helping others and imparting wisdom. I am interested in travelling, artistic pursuits, music and cultural activities. I hope to help others gain a more complete understanding of English if possible. Please note that I have temporarily relocated overseas and currently reside in Istanbul, Turkey. As such I can teach clients in the Istanbul area at present if necessary.

Hobbies

I enjoy outdoor water-sports, going on excursions, attending cultural exhibits and participating in ethnic events. I play guitar, some drums and piano and like to sing. I am drawn to the arts and sciences and previously was involved in some acting endeavors when I was younger. Lastly, I am interested in learning about other cultures and what makes people 'tick' so to speak.
